IKC's Entre Mujeres: The Health of Women builds on the success of the "Dia de la Mujer Latina" conferences held in October in Garden City and Liberal, Kansas! Both events had a great turnout, reaching over 275 Latina women. We gathered together to honor cancer survivors, learned the importance of HPV vaccination in preventing cancers, and listened to the “Ni uno Mas” campaign from El Centro, Inc. Both conferences had inspirational speakers including cancer survivor Helen Ortiz, motivational public health equity advocate, Julissa Sosota, and more!

We also honored two members of the Garden City and Liberal communities, Norma Fraire and Victoria Bangs for their outreach efforts within their communities, receiving the "Making A Difference" award.
