What is the Our Tomorrows project?

In coordination with the Center for Public Partnerships and Research at the University of Kansas' Our Tomorrows program, IKC has made the goal to collect 100 stories relating to immunizations and vaccine-preventable diseases.

How will the collected stories be used?

IKC will use the results from the anonymous Our Tomorrows survey data to understand what impacts families' immunization experiences and what Kansas families need to thrive.

Responses will also be used for a greater pool of research used to shape policy and programming decisions in your community and across the country. Using a story-based research tool called SenseMaker, Center for Public Partnerships & Research, University of Kansas will examine the patterns and stories in-depth, allowing us to gain new understanding about what families need to thrive. Your contribution to the story collection will make a difference.

How do I share my story?

Just follow these 3 easy steps:

  1. Think about any story or experience related to immunizations or the impact of a vaccine-preventable disease. This can be a positive or negative story about you, your family, or a family you know.

  2. Go to tinyurl.com/Our-Tomorrow-Stories or scan the QR code below. In the first text box, share your story, only a couple of sentences are needed. It's similar to a Facebook or Twitter post.

  3. Complete the survey by answering a few questions related to your experience. (Some questions may be applicable, some may not.)

After submitting a story, you will be returned back to the survey entry form. If you have more than one story to share, go ahead and complete the survey again! You are welcome and encouraged to share multiple stories.

Thank you to everyone who shared their stories!
